Heard some opinions that mineral wool will slow down inward brick veneer vapor diffusion causing build up of moisture in the cavity. This was the planned exterior wall.
Brick veneer – 1″ space – 1.5″ mineral wool – 38 perm rated wrb (mento 3000) – 1\2″ cdx – 2×6 with mineral wool – intello vapor retarder.
Was thinking to forgo the exterior insulation altogether and have a bigger drying cavity between the brick and wrb. Any recommendations?
