Where can I find single pane low e window glass for sale?
I am considering making wood storm windows for my 100+ year old house. I have been looking for a source for low e window glass (single pane) for the project, but have not found any. Maybe I’m not searching in the right places. Anybody have any ideas?

jr,
I recall that about 10-12 years ago there was a company pitching single glazing storm windows that had hard coating on the inside surface. I also recall that they were quite expensive compared to the generic types that most home improvement contractors pushed.
They might still exist, but most likely they fell to market forces. If cost is not an issue, they are a few companies selling double pane units for historic buildings that need to maintain the original appearance of the sash. I believe they are vacuum units with tiny dots to keep the panes separated. They are around 5/16" thick in total so many historic sashes can receive them and still look like single pane. Very custom though. Maybe coatings can be had, too.
I would question whether the gain from a coated glass would be worth the effort of finding it. The best wood storms I ever dealt with fit loose enough to have some air exchange around the perimeter. The worst ones got cussed out and cussed in seasonally. Guess who had the later until I replaced the windows entirely.
I have found that often the cheapest way to get pieces of glass is to buy a stock window at a home center and take it apart and discard the frame. A double-glazed window can be separated into two sheets of glass.
