What radiant heat system would work best on concrete floor with tile?
I’m thinking something that would create a thermal break between concrete and tile floor. Anyone with ideas about what to use would be appreciated.. Thanks Rob

Rob,
Where are you located? Is this new construction, and is the radiant going everywhere or only in an isolated area?
Is there going to be insulation under the slab, or is this a retrofit over a existing uninsulated slab?
Rob,
The usual method would be to install a generous layer of continuous horizontal rigid foam under the slab, followed by polyethylene and a concrete slab with embedded PEX tubing. The tile is installed as usual. There is no need for a "thermal break" between the tile flooring and the concrete slab.
