What is the greenest option for adding loft insulation?

On our EPC they recommend adding additional loft insulation. There is currently a layer of blanket insulation between the joints.
What is the greenest/best option for adding another layer?

Cellulose.
+1 for cellulose. It's greenest, cheapest, and usually performs the best too. It's also less irritating than fiberglass. What's not to like? :-) You can blow a layer right over whatever you have now and not worry about it. The only thing to check is to be sure you don't block any soffit vents.
