What is a good underlayment to use for a floating floor installed over OSB subflooring?
Exactly what the title says. I will be installing ~400sqft of UClic style cork flooring that has a cork base built in and am looking for the best type of underlayment to use under the floor.
The seller says that due to the cork on the base of the flooring an underlayment isn’t required, but the two rooms that the floor will be going into, while they have a smooth subfloor have both been extensively remodeled (walls being moved, etc…) so the subfloor includes several patches and seams in irregular locations.

All subfloors have seams and patches, as long as everything is level and there are no big gaps you can install the flooring.
I would follow the manufactuers instruction, if they say no underlayment than you don't need to install one.
Rest of the time, I grab the cheapest underlayment I can find. I find the ones from recycled fibers work very well.
P.S. Almost all STC and noise claims from underlayments are bogus for wood frame construction. These only work over structural concrete slabs.
