What is a Certified Green building Professional?
I am in California and have received an “invitation” to attend a two day, $450 training. It is sponsored by the major utilities, among others, but the web site, BuildItGreen.org does not give much info as to the content of the training. Any advice?

David,
I would add that it does not matter how many designations one can list after their name. IMO, being a professional means that you know WHY as well as HOW.
It's your basic overview of green building; if you're already well-informed about green building, you aren't likely to learn much that's new. If you are new to green building, then it provides a good foundation. However, IMHO the title of "Certified Green Building Professional" is a trifle grandiose for two days of training and no actual green project experience so I would recommend using the title judiciously. (And yes, I am a CGBP. :-))
thanks Ann
