What can be done with the cured foam that is cut away to form straight lines between studs or rafters?

I have 30 contractor bags of the leftover materials.

Are you talking about cured open-cell foam? If so ask your foam application contractor if he has a recycling opportunity. Ours claims to have someone who picks it up for some use, I'm not sure what it is though. Possibly they are using it for padding or packing peanuts or something.

This is one of the hidden problems associated with open cell foam.
My foam contractor told me that they had no use for the waste and that I was responsible for the disposal.
The foam contractor would "dispose" of it for a fee ... $300 I think

It was a shame to see all of that volume going to a land-fill.

If you have 30 contractor bags of foam overspray, find another spray foam contractor!
Or better yet, use cellulose insulation on your next project.
