I have drawn a conceptual version of a thermally broken LVL that might be appropriate for some applications.  In the case we’re thinking of, it would be a near horizontal support of an overhang.

Does a product like this exist?  Essentially an LVL in which parts of the sandwich are a rigid foam?

Our immediate application is for support of roof assembly and overhangs on roof with low pitch.
