The “find the thread” thread. Where’s the info about __ ?
Hope other readers find this thread useful. I know I’m going to use it. (I’ve seen them be incredibly popular on other boards.)
When, god help you, you just can’t find the specific information you’re looking for, but you know it’s here somewhere.
If the search function works properly, you should be able to find this thread by searching “find the thread”
And then follow-up questions, if any, can end up in the appropriate thread.

My first where’s-that-thread question:
Can anybody point me to the thread or post with details on door/window-installation-and-flashing details when using plywood bucks for extensions?
I see details for flashing to 2″ of exterior foam (without using bucks) but can’t find the details for thicker foam and extensions. I’d swear those details are on this site somewhere.
Thanks!

Minneapolis,
Is this the thread you are looking for?
The SunRise Home
Maybe you are looking for this article?
“Installing Exterior Insulation in Cold Climates”
It is. Thank you. I never would have found that.
Suggestion:
Maybe GBA could have an innie window flashing details PDF, hosted here and linked from the relevant pages on the site, just like the detail for flashing a window to a single layer of exterior foam is?
...I've looked at the pages about exterior foam with staggered and taped seams, and watched those short videos plenty of times--but it seems like the complementary plywood buck and sill info would be really useful to some readers. (Including me.)
Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
Minneapolis,
Thanks for the suggestions. Until we are able to implement your ideas, here's a reminder: Lucas Durand started a "detail library" thread here:
https://www.greenbuildingadvisor.com/community/forum/plans-review/19568/detail-directory
A while ago, I started a thread called What details should we add to the GBA library?
Anyone who wants can still post a comment on either of these threads.
Thanks for the reminder, and for digging up those threads, too.
