Hey All,
If I were to use spray foam only on the interior as a basement insulation strategy, does this change the insulation ratio necessary between the concrete wall and the interior framed 2×4 wall? I’m in zone 6b and from all my reading it seems like building a safe wall to avoid condensation would require 2″ rigid foam against the walls if I were to insulate the 2×4 wall with fiberglass or mineral wool to keep a correct ration and avoid condensation. Does that change with spray foam since the 2×4’s will basically be encased in foam and the spray foam? Wondering if I can make the gap between the concrete and 2×4 wall smaller and keep a similar overall r-value and condensation free wall. Thanks.
Jacob
