Hi all. I looked around and not sure of best practice in my situation.
Flooring is solid bamboo, strand, and tongue and groove.
Floor insulation/substrate from top down:
– 3/4″ T&G ply
– 3.5″ rockwool
– 3″ polyiso foamed in
– 1″ eps foam underneath joists
Does this flooring need a vapor barrier? I was thinking not because the insulation is so tightly and carefully installed with an air barrier. I don’t want to trap moisture.
So I was thinking of simply nailing the flooring directly to the subfloor ply but open to best practice with these materials and setup.
Location: Portland, OR
Structure: 70 sq.ft. office that will be heated/cooled
thanks!
Justin

Wondering if anyone has any thoughts. The subfloor has sat for a couple months since assembly and should be quite dry by now. I'm thinking of using #15 felt as an underlayment.
thanks!
My guess is that you're OK here, but I'd check with the manufacturer of the flooring to be sure.
