Site built baffles – do I continue all the way??

So on my detached garage I went with site built baffles using 1/2 inch XPS spaced 1.25 inches off the roof deck. I currently have it going above the ceiling of the attic truss about 2 feet shy of the ridge vent. Do I leave it at that or completely seal from soffit to Ridge vent?

I would think you want to leave it open so that air and moisture from other sources (leaks from inside and outside) have a path to exit as well.
Excellent point!
