Should I remove the dual-zone damper from my single stage HVAC system?

Hearly757 | Posted in General Questions on

The dual-zone system was installed in 2017.  For two years straight, water has leaked into my ceiling below.  The company that installed it says they have a way to bring down the dew levels by putting in a larger bypass duct.

Should i I allow the repair or simply remove the dual-zone system?

A bypass from where to where? I doubt they will get it right and disabling dual zone for summer is the easy fix. But maybe if they guarantee their work and you verify duct temperature under all zone combinations (always cold enough to get dehumidification, but never too cold).
