Shoe taps instead round take-off on residential system?
There seems to be a number of different style take-offs (bellmouth, conical, HETO…) in varying efficiency used with rectangular duct but when it comes to round duct there are far fewer options outside of a standard round take-off.
This had me wondering… Is there any particular reason 90deg shoe taps aren’t discussed/used more often?
