Sheating for 11′?
My initial design (single story; cold roof) is for 9′ walls and 2′ raised heel trusses. This adds up to 11′ in the vertical for sheathing: folks in my area specify installing sheathing vertically. I am pretty sure I cannot order up 11′ sheathing. I’ve spotted some OSB panels at 12′ (though I can’t recall off-hand where). I saw that Huber has/had? 12′ panels, though I do not see them on anyone’s shelves around me (there’s the standard 8-footers).
Is this going to be a headache? Should I back off the notion of 2′ raised heel trusses, perhaps dropping to 1′ which would allow me (I’m guessing, though perhaps folks could state for sure) to do 10′ panels? 10′ would mean I’d be losing out on insulation in the attic space at the wall edges (dropping from 2′ to 1′). I’d also have to revisit my porch roof design.
I’m also pretty sure that 9′ ceilings will provide me with similar entertainment. It’s a trade off for not going with vaulted ceilings.

Mark,
11 feet works out quite well for horizontal sheathing. You just need t0 block at the seams on all sheer walls. I wouldn't compromise the design to optimize the ease of sheathing.
Maybe I'm a wimp, but I would rather work with 8' sheets and do the extra blocking than try to handle 12' sheets.
Folks, thanks for the feedback! You've helped muse me! I found 11' sheathing!

"QuakeZone structural sheathing can be used with up to 24″ raised heel truss systems"
Is it available in my area is THE question...
I'm not worried about handling 11' sheets on the ground. I'd be building the walls on the ground and then raising them.
