Rafter/Truss baffle suggestion
Hi,
I am looking for any suggestion of decent rafter/truss baffle option for blown-in insulation. I know the typical ones can be quiet brittle and break easily when installed for looking for any suggestion?
Thank you,
Arnold

arnoldk,
Just to be clear: do you mean vents or baffles?
Sorry, the baffles installed between each truss.

Arnold,
Martin has a good blog on the subject:https://www.greenbuildingadvisor.com/article/site-built-ventilation-baffles-for-roofs
The Cadillac of insulation stops is job site made plywood ones, these are bomb proof. But there are commercially available styrofoam or cardboard ones, these work well if installed carefully. I think the cardboard ones are a bit more robust and if the correct fasteners are used they should remain in place for the life of the building, unless they get wet.
