Qualified HVAC contractor in Albany, NY region

albany_chris | Posted in Mechanicals on

Can anyone point me to one or some HVAC contractors in the NY Capital region (upstate, 518)?  This is just for a central AC upgrade but I would still like a Manual J run and I haven’t found anyone that does Manual Js around here.

Thanks for your time.

I/My company does load calcs for our HVAC work. I can do a Manual J. I typically prefer using software modeling (TREAT) which performs the same general function, plus other calculations, but sometimes Manual J is required.
We're in Clifton Park, if you search my last name in that area, we'll show up.

Surprised no one else has mentioned it yet. But you do NOT want an hvac contractor doing the calculations. Get the calculations and equipment sizing/layout/duct design from an engineer or someone similar.
Then have the hvac guys install the equipment.

Thanks Trevor. I am a big fan of that for a full installation but It is probably overkill for just a condenser, coil and lines. I have reached out to Matt, but if anyone has other suggestions please let me know.
