Hi hope all is well. Putting in baseboard in basement. Planning to use an alternative to wood for baseboards just in case of flood. Polystyrene boards are cheaper but what is the difference. Is pvc more durable, it’s a few dollars more per board. I have rubber cove molding but planning to return it because the boards I can work with like wood and it will be easier for me to work with. Don’t have a finish nailer so planing on brad nailing them in.
