Propane conversion
The energy auditor projects the annual consumption of propane in our new build to be 512 cubic metres. The local price for propane is about $.80 (eighty cents). 512m3 equals 512,000 litres.
So, the client’s annual propane bill is projected to be $410,000. This seems a tad high. What am i doing wrong?

512 cubic meters is 135,000 gallons. That's the problem. Maybe he meant 512 gallons?
Is that cubic meters expressed in liquid or gas measure? I believe propane expands at about 300 to one from liquid to gas.
The specified pressure as a gas matters too, but for sure the $0.80/lt. has to be a liquid measure at some standard temperature, and the cubic meters figure is a gas measure at some standardized pressure.
