Power vents

Jeff44420 | Posted in Green Building Techniques on

I recently installed an aluminum roof and chose  2 roof power fans that replace older ones that were set to turn on at 115degrees.  These turn on at 90degrees  and or 65% relative humidity.  They are 1500 cfm hi efficiency fans and my intake consists of 18 x 24 gable vents at either end of the house.  I do not have soffit vents.  The attic area is 2400 square feet and about 9900 cubic feet.  This is all under one roof.   I chose these fans as I wanted to eliminate as best I could condensation during the winter.  I live in a very humid area and these fans have been running continuously this August.  The temperature has been widely swinging with hot days and cool nights.  Should I have just left the fans as they were and not added the humidity component?
