Can you put 4 mil poly on drywall inside the house and put another layer of drywall over the poly

      They are 6 in exterior walls with 3/8 rock on them and each stud they shot foam both side's so it's a bitch to Demo on the outside of the wall just built right no Tyvek

    What Patrick is suggesting is that you can get the attributes you want from poly - that is an effective air-barrier and vapour retarder - by sealing the existing drywall, and if necessary coating it to reduce its permeance.
