Part-time career options?
I really enjoy learning about building science and promoting practices that help mitigate climate change and improve communities is personally significant.
However I also have some chronic health conditions that would make it difficult to work full-time.
Are there any part-time careers viable in this field?

Energy raters and auditors are usually contract-type people who have a lot of flexibility in terms of their work hours. This type of work might be a good fit for you, and with increasing energy costs, people who can cut those bills down will be in more demand.
There is some info about this type of work on Energy Vanguard's site. I think they still run training classes too.

Andyfrog,
As Bill said, energy modeling and associated work is something that you might consider. It's a field that is only going to expand over the next few years. More and more building codes are requiring the use of an energy consultant for permitting. Being small contracts you could probably limit the amount of time you had to work.
I'm sure blood tests from the occupants of a home will be very helpful in determining xxACH50 and the overal energy efficiency of the home!
Some of this spam just cracks me up...
