    It always bothers me to see these radiators covered up, your just blocking and slowing the heat from coming from them as well as messing with the air circulation that is needed for them to distribute their heat properly. It also blocks them from being visually inspected for leaks or to see if the vent is working properly.
    Not sure if you can still find the old metal covers that were designed for them years ago so you may have to go custom and build your own from perforated sheet metal or make a wooden enclosure.
    Some of them are decorative and can just be painted to look attractive.

    Why do the radiators need to be covered?

    Steam, or pumped hot water?

    Is the space overheating?
