We are trying to work out the possibility of sealing our attic durring a major upgrade of our parents home. We are getting quotes for a metal roof with over deck polyiso insulation and a open foam spray under deck. 
All of this has been covered and documented very well.
The question comes to what is the best practice for handeling the ceiling above the attached garage.
