New Mitsubishi minisplit wall units
Hello,
Does anyone had experience with the mitsubishis mini split MSZ-EF model (comes in 9, 12,15, and 18)? They have a slimmer profile than the prior versions. I am having trouble finding information on the EF (or Zen) series that is geared for the US, and am trying to figure out if BTU and Seer ratings are comparable to the FH range.
Thank you!

Whitney,
I found some information on the Web -- and I'm sure you did, too.
(Here is a link to the MSZ-EF brochure.)
Have you tried contacting Mitusbishi? Here's their contact information:

I'm at the EEBA conference in Texas. I'll stop by the Mitsubishi booth on the trade show floor today and see what the reps there have to say -- and I'll report back.
.
Whitney,
A Mitsubishi rep (Kimberly) at the EEBA conference booth told me that the MSZ-EF is not available in the U.S.
Who knows -- maybe it will be available in the future.
Thanks for the information! eComfort appears to be selling them online, though I suppose better to wait until they are more widely available. If you hear any more details, I would appreciate it, as we will not be installing until spring.
Thank you again,
Whitney
Martin. If you are still at EEBA, maybe you can ask the Mitsubishi reps about another unit. I was talking to my HVAC contractor yesterday, and he said there is a new mini split that is capable of handling ventilation duties as well. The design supposedly provides an efficient way to condition and filter outdoor air along with meeting heading and cooling requirements.
Steve,
Sorry -- too late. I'm at the airport.
I just received new information by email from Kimberly -- somewhat different information from what she told me at the EEBA conference: "About our MSZ-EF product: These units have the Hyper-Heat option and at this point are available for multi-zone configurations. That means no 1:1 options yet."
In other words, it sounds like the MSZ-EF is available in the U.S.
