New build recommendations in MN

Happywifehappylife | Posted in General Questions on
We have had success finding an architect on this website to help us design and maximize our space for a new build (thank you)!
Next, we are looking for company recommendations (in/near twin cities, Minnesota) based off the list of services below. We are looking for like-minded green build enthusiasts! You don’t have to answer for each service/tradesmen, but anything helps. We have Google researched different companies, but also want other peoples options and experiences from this website. Our hope is to find companies that focus on high-performance, energy efficiency that care about quality and have a passion for what they do. This will ultimately lead us creating the best team we can afford to make our new build our forever home for generations to come.

Your best bet here is to find a good GC (General Contactor), since most of what you're looking for will end up being subcontractors for the GC. Your architect is a good place to start when looking for a GC -- ask for referrals.

You might start with the Minnesota Building Performance Association.

They will have a good idea of who is serious about building efficient housing.
