Need help Selecting Ducted mini split
I need help selecting ducted mini-split units for new construction 2 story house with open floor ICF basement.
Please see attached image for load calculation ( 2 ACH50 Assumed) and proposed units. Mitsubishi ?? or Fujitsu ??
Location: Secaucus, NJ, CLIMATE ZONE -4
Building: single family, 2 story with open concept finished basement, 3 bedroom on 2nd floor.
Foundation: ICF basement foundation with R-26 in wall and R15 In the Slab
Framing: 2×6 stud wall with ZIP-R6 sheathing + R-23 rockwool = R-29 insulation
Attic: unvented Spray foam in between roof rafter with R-38 Windows- double pan fiberglass, Windows U-factor is 0.31 and .29 SHGC
I selected 1:1 configurations based on the suggestion from other posts.
Dana, Jonathan and Patrick help me correct my heat load calculation on below post:
https://www.greenbuildingadvisor.com/question/how-does-mitsubishi-heat-pump-perform-in-rainy-day
now its’ time to select the units.
Should calculated CFM from heat load calculations match the selected unit cfm capacity or it can be factored in when designing Duct system?
reason why ask because unit I selected has low cfm than my heat load cfm.
any help is appreciated.
thank you
