Monolithic slab edge insulation increase.

dfvellone | Posted in General Questions on

Climate zone 6 in upstate NY, and I’m planning to increase the slab edge insulation by adding an extra inch of reclaimed xps. As per my engineer’s plan (and, unfortunately, prior to finding my way here) I’d only used 2” of xps under the slab and at the edges. I’m wondering  if, along with increasing the slab edge insulation, I should also increase the sub-grade wing insulation which is 1” xps. Thanks, Daniel
