Is anyone still making latex-based spray foam? I can’t find DapTex Plus any longer.

These are perfect examples of not being available. I searched around and found nothing either. Strange how this can happen so quietly.
So I just finished a chat with DAP. Here's their response:
"DAPtex Plus has not been discontinued. It is currently on back order due to supply chain issues and raw material availability. Unfortunately, we don't have a time frame on when it will be available yet."
Not exactly clear. If it's been discontinued, I wouldn't expect back orders to be fulfilled at any point in the future. But maybe the rep means it may be reintroduced (New! Better!) when supply chain issues are resolved.
It's entirely possible they are having problems sourcing some of the raw materials they need to make the procuct. A few examples from other industries I've heard about while talking to people over the past few weeks:
1- A vitamin manufacturer is having problems getting ingredients for some of their vitamins. This is from one of their sales reps who happens to be the father of one of my daughter's friends at school.
2- Many circuit breakers are hard to get due to a shortage of lugs (the wire connection terminals). This is from one of my electrical distributors.
3- Many larger generators are very long leadtime, due in part to a national shortage of radiator hoses of all things. This is from my Kohler Power rep.
4- Some paints are hard to get, because the manufacturers are using the materials they can get to make their highest volume products. I've also heard that there have been intermittent shortages of paint cans, especially quart cans. This is from the rep at my local PPG paint store.
DAP is probably being honest with you about supply chain issues. This has been a big problem for everyone. I just had to modify some invoicing for a project milestone today due to equipment ship dates not lining up with the milestones I wrote into the original contract. Luckily, I anticipated this and allowed for billing modifications in the contract for exactly this reason. My customer has been pretty understanding, and all the other vendors being in similar situations helps things when explaining what has been going on.

An Insulfoam rep recently told me that they can't make GPS right now because BASF isn't sending them any more GPS resin for the rest of the year. We ended up switching to regular EPS, which wasn't the end of the world, but these supply chain issues are definitely real!
