Just discovered your site. Can you recommend an HVAC company in Richmond, Virginia?
I just discovered your site. I have a 1928 Bungalow with the master bedroom in the attic. I’ve had ice and in spray foam done in the roof and the exterior walls in the space behind the knee walls. The spray foam is isynene. My HVAC system is an old oil furnace and air handler with a 3 ton compressor. This has helped greatly in the winter time but the system cannot keep the upstairs cool in the summertime.
any suggestions? Can you recommend a hvac company in Richmond va? I’ve had three companies look at the problem, but none has given me a detailed estimate or analysis of how to fix the issue (5-10 degree difference in downstairs vs upstairs temps)

I'm co-owner of a new home performance contracting company (Comparetto Comfort Solutions) that's a sister company to my consulting company (Think Little). We work in the Richmond as well as Charlottesville areas. Figuring out stuff like this and getting it fixed is right up our alley.

I highly recommend calling John's number . He is more than capable of dealing or at least suggesting the right steps that you must take concerning the house as a system approach . Whether you take those recommendations is completely up to you .
Ron,
