Insulating 100 year old unvented slate roof

PeteC | Posted in General Questions on

I read your response to insulating  an unvented slate roof but the date was 2011
has anything changed?
My situation is a little different. The ceiling decking is tongue-and-groove under a 100-year-old slate roof. Do you recommend 1 inch channels covered by stiff plastic foam boards or plywood followed  by foam insulation? Have your thoughts changed since your advice in 2011?
Thank You
Petec
