Installing European style window in double wythe

Nils_ | Posted in General Questions on

Hi,

As the title says, I am installing a European style tilt window in my double brick wall. I understand the way you would set a buck frame first and as flashing in a newer Vapor wrapped home.

I guess this goes for any window style but do I need to seal the window the same way? Is there is no outside Vapor barrier there to attach the flashing to.

Could I install the window straight into the brick and fill the gaps with foam? Similar to what they do in European homes?
