How does patriarchy play a role in the design & construction industry?

Hi all,
This is really a rhetorical question as the reason for the post is to let everyone know about a unique upcoming working for men working in design and construction. Chris Crass will lead a conversation about how men can lead and support one another using healthy masculinity. You will leave the workshop inspired with ideas, tips, and tools for how you can positively impact your work culture. We ran this workshop last spring and participants found it very helpful and worthwhile.
September 20th, 3pm. Sign up for “Building Healthy Culture: The Dumpster Fire of Patriarchy” at https://buildhelm.com/calendar/building-healthy-culture

Could you please define "the patriarchy"?
I think this definition from Meriam Webster serves pretty well "broadly: control by men of a disproportionately large share of power".
Is this discussion going to lead anywhere useful?
Do you mean the HELM event or the comments here? HELM has a long history of doing good, important and productive work. I am sure the event will be worthwhile.
Michael,
Definitely just discussing it here. I'm sure the workshop will be useful for those who choose to take part.
