How do you frame a square pitched roof?

I am roofing a 10′ by 10′ shed and would like a four sided roof rather than having two gable ends.

    Mark,
    It sounds like you are describing a hip roof. If you have never learned how to frame a roof, you'll need to study up. Taunton Press has several books that can help you, including one called Framing Roofs.
