Heating zone running continuously

longfieldl | Posted in General Questions on

Hello,
I have a water based heating system and our Zone controller has space for 5 zones. We have one more zone for a space in the basement that is wired differently because there was no space for thatzone on the zone controller. The problem is that this zone is running continuously and does not listen to the thermostat. I have drawn the currenlt wiring and am curious if
1) Can you really add a zone withou going through the zone controller (it was like this when we moved in)?
2) If yes, is the wiring ok or there is something that need to be done differently?
Thank you very much.
Louis
