It got up to 92F today, which is our 99th percentile temperature. Humidity was in the low 40’s, which is what we use in a Manual J as well. Cooling system ran almost all day!

Every day is design day at work! Execept for those occasional and annoying "why haven't you paid me for the design yet" days...
We've had a bit of heat wave here too over the past weekend. Today is cooler, high 70s, but crazy humidity -- 87% according to my gauge! Very unconfortable out. I'm in the middle of a small project re-insulating and air sealing a smallish room in my house that has a T+G ceiling with no air barrier. Plenty of mold up there, so I have a little more mold remediation than I was expecting (I knew there'd be some). Some cleaner, then some mold killing primer, then new fiberglass batts (no access for loose fill, unfortunately, I have to work from underneath), then a layer of taped 1/2" polyiso on the interior for air barrier and a bit more R, then the T+G planks.
Rather than caulking the gaps, between board ends, I'm routering them with a bevel to match the T+G board edges. This way the caulk can't seperate over time, so the look is more consistent. This particular roof area was always "melty" when looking at wintertime frost patterns, so I expect some energy savings from my little project along with improved comfort in that corner that is usually a bit cold.
