Good sealant for under sil seal and in between sil seal and green treated
I’m looking for a good sealant that is available locally like at a Menards or Homedepot. I want to us it in between my sil seal and basement wall and in between my sil seal and plate kind of sand which it all together for a really good air tight fit.
I’ve seen a few threads when I searched about the topic it seams like many people use acoustical sealant and I’ve read a few other where it’s not recommended. The area I’m using it will not be getting wet. If anyone has a recommendation or a couple incase ones not available it would be greatly appreciated.

Sika Flex polyurethane sealant it is at the Orange Big box in the concrete dept. Not the paint area
Does this not damage sil seals? I’ve seen it before but never used it do you have experience with it looks like it would work well. Similar to vulcum seal
I would do a test. Sil seals are usually foamed polyethylene, so they're pretty stable materials. Take a small sample piece and try the sealant you want to use, see if there is any chemical reaction ("melting"). If there is no reaction, then you should be OK. Cole Palmer has a really great chemical compatibility database that you can check too if you know the materials involved. The link is here:
