Floor finish

Good morning, looking for some input. I ran into a stairway to an unfinished basement which had SPF lumber for the threads. There’s no finish to the treads. To me I would think it’s acceptable(I’m using Ontario Building Code).
Curious to know if anyone else seen this and if you would deem it acceptable.

Yes. As long as all the dimensions (rise, run, bullnose) meet code, that how it's usually done.
