Flangeless window install with exterior insulation
I’m thinking our wall assembly will be 2×6 with ZIP sheathing and 3” of Rockwool Comfortboard 80 external insulation. Hoping for quality flangeless windows that are recessed into the wall assembly so that the glass itself is about in the middle of the wall assembly.
Having a difficult time visualizing the process for a good window install using this kind of window and insulation. I feel like I understand how to do a really good job on a flanged window install without external insulation after watching Matt Risinger and Christine Williamson window install videos but I haven’t been able to find good descriptions for the wall assembly and windows I’m looking at.
Anyone have links to resources that explain or show this better?
Thanks

In addition to Malcolm's suggestions, I have photos of our set-up (2x6 with 4" Rockwool), along with some Hammer and Hand videos that helped me, about halfway through a blog post here:

You may want to do a mock wall assembly with all of your components prior to construction to better understand where you may run into trouble. Much less stressful to make adjustments or changes with a mock assembly rather than during actual construction.
