FIberglass decks how they fail

lblau_2021 | Posted in GBA Pro Help on

The east coast is seeing a rise in fiberglass roof decks and many are failing. There is a dearth of information on proper installation, particularly in large decks. Do they need expansion joints? How frequent? Can or can’t you use metal scuppers or must scupper also be fiberglass? How must the substrate be installed? Drip edges etc.
Does the color impact the durability as in expansion and contraction? How doe you meet a parapet? and if a fiberglass copping how does it flash to the wall? These all seem to have particular issues different from that of using a more flexible project like TPO or EPDM.
Thanks
