Drywall clips used with cement board?

Are drywall clips suitable for use with 1/2″ Cement Board?
Like in wall corners of tub/shower assembly?
Too brittle? Too much load?

Good question. Here is a common-sense answer (not an engineering answer): If you are worried, install extra clips.

If you are really worried, install solid blocking.
