Cool Calc questions

Dan14758 | Posted in General Questions on

Hi forum,

Does anyone know how to accurately answer Cool Calc’s questions about hot water pipes. They ask for the type of metal, length, thickness, insulation level, ambient temp, and hot water temp. Are they asking about the pipes for the domestic hot water, the hydronic radiator system, or both? How do I figure out how long the pipes are? And what to put for ambient temp and hot water temp (Ambient temp where, and which hot water temp – DHW or hydronic system?)?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I am in Climate Zone 5.
