I live in South Louisiana and I have a galvanized rusty roof that I have to live with.
What is a good coating that I can use.. Thank you.

Mark,
Any good paint store should be able to help you select the right paint for your galvanized roofing.
Most sources recommend that you begin by power-washing the roof.
Then you will need a primer designed for galvanized steel -- sometimes referred to as an etching primer -- followed by a paint designed for metal roofing.
I'm looking for a rubberized, waterproof coating.. With heat reflective ability.
The CRRC search function has a number of coating products listed, along with solar reflective index ratings. See:

You'd have to consult the manufacturer for how to make it stick reliably over time on galvanized roofing, but I'm sure there are several that would work.
Gaco makes a very nice product - http://www.gacoretail.com/gacoroof.html
