Cathedral ceiling condensation

My second floor of home is half cathedral ceiling. The other half has an attic above. The cathedral ceiling sweats in the summer and I use ceiling fan; no air conditioning. I have to periodically clean the ceiling of film/stain. How can I alleviate the sweating?
