Is there a code to prevent OSB from rotting like my recent build completed in 2017? Water leaked through a sliding door, and/or water also migrated from the tiled deck outside under the soft sill pan to the OSB sheathing inside the house? I can’t find a specific code requirement to show the GC. He says that normal metal flashing was sufficient to protect all framing from water damage.

If you're subject to the IRC, R317.1 likely forbids the situation you have: https://codes.iccsafe.org/content/IRC2015?site_type=public/chapter-3-building-planning#IRC2015_Pt03_Ch03_SecR317. Obviously "normal metal flashing" was NOT sufficient in your case.
