Bosch vs Mitsubishi Heat Pump opinions?
Does anyone have any experience or opinions about Bosch vs Mitsubishi heat pumps? I have a relative who is trying to decide between:
Bosch BOVA-60HDN1-M20G 4ton 20 SEER
Mitsubishi P-Series 3.5 ton 18 SEER
The Bosch is marginally more expensive, and the Mitsubishi is a Hyper-Heat model. The house is in coastal Connecticut (Zone 4).

Oh, and the other question is whether hyper-heat is worthwhile in Zone 4 Connecticut, or whether it's overkill.
hi, I'm going through a similar evaluation

Thanks for the tip!
I'm leaning towards this now...
1- Bosch 5 ton condenser Model # BOVA60HDN1M20; 20 SEER; Variable Speed; Two stage; R-410A
1- Bosch 5 ton air handler Model # BVA60WN1M20; 20 SEER; X-13 Motor; 220V; R-410A (To be installed in the attic)
1- Aprilaire filtration system, RE2210 MERV-13, 20x25
1- Aprilaire 8920W thermostat with (1) Aprilaire # RE8053 Surface Mount Sensor
Hi, I had the Bosch Bova 2.0 4 tons installed at my house for 10K. it works well until 20F then the heat pump can not keep up and the system reverts to back up heating (gas furnace). The Mitsubishi Hyperheat would works at 100% with a COP around 2 at 0F. so assuming the climate is not that different in connecticut than North Jersey I would go for the Mitsubishi hyperheat if the prices are similar. My contractor quoted the 3.5 tons mitsubishi hyperheat 20K so double the price if the Bosch Bova 2.0
