Best wall outlet for high CFM range hood

WillCyr | Posted in General Questions on

Hi everyone,

I’m installing a 1000 CFM range hood, with an in line blower located about 15 feet away, followed by an exhaust outlet through a stucco wall about 5 feet further down the line. The system calls for 10 inch ducting which results in a duct velocity of 9.33 m/s or 1837 fpm. The house is well sealed and insulated, located in Southern California.

I’m struggling to find a quality exhaust outlet to support the 1000 CFM requirement. I see a couple offerings from Broan and Fantech, but they do not look like what I expected considering the velocity.

I am looking for recommendations for a good quality wall exhaust outlet to support this mission, and also in search of an inlet for the make up air system. Appreciate any recommendations on quality products!
