Best method for insulating post-framed buildings with metal inside and outside finishes?
I’ve seen installations with batt insulation run vertical between horizontal purlins on both sides of the post frame with a vapor barrier to the inside finish. It would seem to me that one could have a host of moisture build-up in this cavity since it is not air sealed very well.
Are there alternate recommended practices for zone 5A?

William,
Multiple layers of rigid foam would perform better than batts, of course. But first you need a smooth surface (OSB or plywood) on which you can attach the foam. That raises the cost of the post-framed building.
