Bensonwood Unity wall floor attachment
In looking at the Bensonwood site after seeing them on TOH and the Build Show, the Unity Wall (Zip exterior sheathing, Ijoist “studs” and cellulose cavity, taped OSB, and then a 2x utility chase) seems interesting. The Ijoists reduce thermal bridging and they end up with what looks to be a very robust wall. One of the videos alludes that the floors rest on the “interior” 2x wall that doubles as a utility chase. If so this would eliminate the tricky insulation origami at the rim joist. Can anyone confirm or comment on how the floors interface with the exterior walls?
