Balloon framing insulation
Redoing a 20’sone story house with balloon framing. No wrb or even tar paper behind the wood clapboards. no excessive damage to outer boards. I would like to insulate the air space in the balloon outer walls. If not using any sort of wrb , like original setup, what would be some acceptable insulating practices. Or should the outer clapboard be removed and start over with wrb? Thanks! Location in Texas where it is mostly warm and humid. 100 or so miles from the coast.
